-- John Doe Doe, a beloved basketball coach and sports enthusiast, passed away on January 24, 2023 at the age of 23. A proud alumnus of Brigham Young University, John dedicated his life to the sport he loved, inspiring countless young athletes through his coaching at BYU. He was known not only for his skill and knowledge of basketball but also for the kindness and encouragement he extended to everyone he encountered.

John's passion for sports was matched only by his warm personality, which made him a cherished friend to many. He was often described as a truly nice guy, whose positivity and enthusiasm left a lasting impression on those around him. His legacy is reflected not only in the athletes he coached but also in his community, where he fostered a love for the game and embodied the spirit of teamwork and sportsmanship.

In honoring John's memory, several services were held. A visitation took place on June 21, 2023, at Sonzini 2 in Layton, Utah, followed by a mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ogden on July 29, 2023. His friends and community members came together for further visitations on October 25 and November 4, 2023. Additional viewings were conducted at Sonzini Mortuary on November 2 and November 16, 2023, before a memorial service was held on December 16, 2023.

John's journey will continue with a burial service scheduled for October 16, 2024, at the Roy City Cemetery in Roy, Utah. Before this, a cremation will take place on May 1, 2024.

Though John is deeply missed, his spirit lives on in the memories shared by those who were fortunate to know him, both as an athlete and a coach. His contributions to the world of sports and his generous heart will never be forgotten.
