Marissa Gracie Riche, born on February 12, 2025, left this world on February 21, 2025. Though her time with us was brief, Marissa's spirit shone brightly during her short life, touching the hearts of many.

Marissa was a dedicated student, earning her Master’s degree in Business Administration from XYZ University. In 2010, she was honored with the Outstanding Academic Achievement award, a testament to her commitment and hard work. Her academic success foreshadowed a promising future ahead.

In addition to her educational pursuits, Marissa served her country with great distinction in the United States Army for 20 years. Rising to the rank of Colonel, she exemplified bravery and resilience, earning both the Bronze Star and Purple Heart for her courageous actions in combat during the Gulf War. Her service not only reflected her strong character but also her profound love for her country.

Marissa cherished her time with family, creating beautiful memories that will forever resonate. She had a special tradition of making her famous apple pie each Thanksgiving, a delicious treat that brought everyone together. The warmth of those holiday gatherings will be deeply missed by her family.

Outside of her commendable achievements and family bonds, Marissa found joy in collecting rare books. She enjoyed spending countless hours exploring bookstores and auctions, always on the lookout for unique additions to her collection. This passion for literature enriched her life and the lives of those around her.

Marissa leaves behind her beloved sister, Sarah Johnson, and brother-in-law, Tom Johnson, who will carry forward her memory alongside close friend Rachel Lee. She is reunited in spirit with her cherished family, including her mother Susan Smith, father John Smith Sr., and brother James Smith, who have gone before her.
