Marissa Gracie Riche, a distinguished individual whose life was marked by profound accomplishments and vibrant connections, passed away on November 13, 202, just two days after celebrating his 34th birthday. He was born on November 11, 2024, into a nurturing family whose values shaped much of his character.
Marissa earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration from XYZ, where he was recognized for his exceptional academic performance, receiving the Outstanding Academic Achievement award in 2010. This academic excellence was a testament to his dedication and ambition, traits that he carried throughout his professional journey.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Marissa served with great honor in the United States Army for 20 years, achieving the rank of Colonel. His bravery and commitment during his service were acknowledged with prestigious awards, including the Bronze Star and Purple Heart, awarded for his courageous actions in combat during the Gulf War.
Beyond his professional and military achievements, Marissa cherished time spent with family, particularly during the holidays. He had a talent for baking, with his famous apple pie being a staple at Thanksgiving gatherings, creating memories that his family will treasure forever. He was an avid collector of rare books, often spending hours exploring bookstores and auctions in search of unique additions to his cherished collection.
Marissa is survived by his sister, Sarah Johnson; brother-in-law, Tom Johnson; and close friend, Rachel Lee. He was preceded in death by his mother, Susan Smith; father, John Smith Sr.; and brother, James Smith. The love and memories shared with both living and deceased family members have left an indelible impact on those fortunate enough to be part of his life.
