Ethan Jones, a cherished son, devoted husband, loving father, and esteemed professional, departed this world on January 9, 2024, in Kaysville, Utah. Born on June 29, 2000, in Layton, Utah, Ethan lived his life rich with adventure and an unwavering commitment to his many passions.


His joyous spirit was infectious, always illuminating the lives of those around him. An avid sports enthusiast, Ethan passionately supported the Kansas City Chiefs and the Boston Celtics. He was not only a formidable video gamer, achieving the title of "Blockbuster Video Game Champion of the Year" for two consecutive years in 2017 and 2018, but he also embraced the great outdoors, where he honed his marksmanship while collecting firearms.


Ethan’s educational journey began at Layton High School, where he graduated in 2018. He continued his pursuit of knowledge at Weber State University until his untimely passing. His career began in 2016 with Barbarosa Foods, and he cherished the time spent working alongside his father at Sephora UDC in West Valley, Utah. Eventually, he found his true calling at Tukios in Ogden, Utah, where his vibrant spirit and enthusiasm for life truly flourished.


Later, Ethan served his country as a Senior Intelligence Agent for the CIA, where he exhibited bravery and keen intellect until his final moments. His fascination with history, particularly World War II, reflected a deep love for learning and understanding the world's complexities.


Among his greatest accomplishments, he proudly earned the rank of Eagle Scout in 2017 and became Red Cross certified in 2021. In 2023, he experienced the joy of fatherhood with the birth of his beloved son, J Audie Jones, which he regarded as his crowning achievement.


Ethan leaves behind his devoted wife, Sariah Jones; his precious son, J Audie Jones; loving parents, J Clark Jones and Jana Jones; brothers, J Nick Jones and Charlie Jones; and his grandfather, Charles Johnson. He will be welcomed into eternity by his late grandparents, J Stephen Jones, Barbara Jones, and Ruth Johnson.


Described as a warrior for Christ, Ethan's unwavering passion and love for his Savior served as a guiding light in his life.


A burial service will be held at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary in Layton, Utah, on May 11, 2025, at 8:00 AM, followed by a Celebration of Life at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City at 9:00 PM. This gathering will provide an opportunity for friends and family to honor and celebrate a remarkable individual whose legacy will continue to inspire us all to embrace life and cherish our loved ones.


Ethan Jones will be forever missed, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of many.
